Blogging about politics and current affairs in Europe
Heylo ! I’m Osmi Anannya, a Politics and Current Affairs Blogger at BlogActiv (EurActiv) & Ideas on Europe (UACES), a PS Helper, a Contributor to Reviews, Encyclopedic entries & articles on student living, and a member of the Welcome Squad at The Student Room, a Rotarian, a Secretary at Best Buddies, a Pinterest Contributor for M Missoni, a Commonwealth Correspondent for YourCommonwealth (Commonwealth Secretariat) and an IMechE Ambassador.
I study Computing at UCSI University, which I really enjoy, almost as much as I love the rain in KL. One of my longstanding loves has been fashion. I love everything about it, from fashion concepts to fashion journalism. I also love pinning endless fashion intellectual pursuits, when not pouring over historic tales, such as those of Charles Dickens, oriental stories & ofcourse anything to do with Christmas, Santa Claus, Rudolph & the Nutcracker.
My fashion blog is The High Street Fashion Diary (http://thehighstreetfashiondiary.tumblr.com/). The High Street Fashion Diary, often abbreviated as THSFD, is a blog, crafted in a digital magazine design, and aims to cover fashion & beauty news stories, as they unfold, do reviews of catwalk shows of London, Paris, Milan & New York, talk about fashion in a cultural & societal context, alongside speaking about everything that is beautiful about Hollywood.
With its tagline of “Trends and Style in Britain”, you can always count on THSFD to never forget its roots, for the blog, like the Editor, is always a thoroughbred Brit. The blog has won numerous awards, and is a popular conversational piece amongst the gliteratti of fashion, art & culture, such as the Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam & M Missoni. It has an approximate monthly unique audience of 261K.THSFD Demographics: The audience consists of a large percentage of women, and the magazine is most popular in Malaysia, followed by United Kingdom coming in a second. Further than that, the reach seperates and counts most readers from United States, but where cities are concerned most readers come from Kuala Lumpur.
I often blog about fashion, lifestyle & design in Britain too; my lifestyle and design blog is The British Design Book (http://thebritishdesignbook.tumblr.com/). The British Design Book, often abbreviated as BritBook, is a blog crafted in a digital magazine design, and aims to cover design & lifestyle news stories, as they unfold - it has an individualistic tagline of “A Motif in Lifestyle and Design!”.
There is also coverage on Hollywood, politics, travel, books & food so most of the content for BritBook is very intellectual. The blog has won numerous awards, and is a popular conversational piece amongst the gliteratti of fashion, art & culture, such as the Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam & M Missoni. It has an approximate monthly unique audience of 146.4K. BritBook Demographics: The audience consists of a large percentage of women, a good proportion of men, and the magazine is most popular in Malaysia, followed by United States coming in a second. Further than that, the reach seperates and counts most readers from France, but where cities are concerned most readers come from Kuala Lumpur.
My personal blog is The Popular Girl Blog (http://thepopulargirlblog.tumblr.com/). The Popular Girl Blog is a blog on political and literary essays. With its tagline of “Essays, Thoughts & Opinions”, the blog aims to express my personal perspective on the the latest news stories making headlines.
The commentary is largely about individualistically contributing to the intellectual narrative in fashion/public policy. The blog has won numerous awards, and is a popular conversational piece amongst the gliterrati of fashion, art & culture, such as the Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam & M Missoni. It has an approximate monthly unique audience of 38.6K.
As a Young Member of the Labour Party, I often campaign for issues I am passionate about. Among the many wonderful charitable organisations that exist in the world, I regularly support Ronald McDonald House Charities, Oxfam Deutschland, The Grammy Foundation, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Hispanic Scholarship Fund, Dubai Cares & The Emirates Airline Foundation.
I occasionally help to raise funds for worthy causes. In the past, I have helped my tutors raise funds to run marathons to promote and aid the work of Cancer Research. I have also helped Global Disaster Relief on Facebook to support victims of the earthquake in Haiti. When I can find the time I like to volunteer and help out through contributing roles like through fundraising for societies or organising club activities at my uni or through reader reviews, which is fun to indulge in occassionally.
I like to read, blog, listen to music, listen to the radio, watch theatre and the cinema, go walking very long distances with my music and my camera, cook, spend time in museums and libraries, play sports, particularly darts, basketball, Pictureka!, badminton and squash and occasionally go riding !
I ♥ Britain, fish & chips, chocos, oranges, the Labour Party, my Kindle, my Sony Xperia M, my Toshiba Satellite P70-A, and my iPod.
